Værmeldingen lovte sol denne dagen i Jotunheimen. Vi fant ut at det beste sted å befinne seg på ved soloppgangen var på Heimdalshøe. En fjelltopp på 1843 meter og med påstått fantastisk utsikt litt øst for vår faste base som befant seg på ca. 960-970meter. Vi kom oss opp av køya tidlig og med litt motorisert hjelp var vi på plass i tide. En smule bekymret, for det hadde skyet over. Men en smal stripe på østhimmelen med litt tynnere skyer ga oss et solgløtt på ca. 10 sekunder. Og det var det.

The weather forecast promised sun this day in Jotunheimen. We found out that the best place to be located at at the Sunrise was on the Heimdalshøe. A mountain top on 1843 metres, and with the alleged stunning views, a little to the east of our firm base on about 960-970meter. We got out of the bed early and with some motorized help we were in place on time. A bit worried about some clouds that mostly covered the heaven. But a narrow strip on the eastern part of the heaven with a little thinner clouds gave us sun in about 10 seconds. And that was it.

Akkurat når våren var i ferd med å feste grepet slo vinteren tilbake med påfyll av en nokså betydelig mengde nysnø forrige uke. Vær er fascinerende!

Just when the spring was about to snap the grip beat the winter back with the replenishment of a fairly significant amount of fresh snow last week. Weather is fascinating!

Et tre. Felt for mange år siden og hatt mange vintre under snøen. Sopp, mugg, mose og råte gjør sin jobb og gjør treet bare vakrere og vakrere for hvert år.

A tree. Cut down many years ago and had a lot of winters under the snow. Mushrooms, mildew, moss and rot are doing their job and makes the tree only more and more beautiful year by year.

Er i ferd med å legge siste hånd på min utstilling «Vinterlys – Finnmark i februar» som vil henge på Thon Hotell, Ski under Norsk Naturfotofestival fra 20. til 22. mars. Dette er ett av de 16 bildene jeg stiller ut. På hotellet er det fri adgang for alle til alle utstillingene og fotomarkedet. Vi sees vel der?

Is in the process of adding the finishing touches on my exhibition "Winter light - Finnmark in February" that will hang on the Thon hotels, Ski under the Norwegian Nature Photo festival from 20. to 22. March. This is one of the 16 images I tune out. At the hotel there is free access for all to all the exhibitions and photo market. I hope I'll see you there?

Jeg har dykket I arkivet og funnet et bilde som er 4 år gammelt. Fra Varanger i vårt nordligste fylke, Finnmark. Et område med en helt særegen natur som man ikke finner maken til andre steder på fastlandet i Norge.

I have dived in the archive and found an image that is 4 years old. From the Varanger area in our northernmost county Finnmark. A site with a very distinctive nature that one does not find anything like in other places on the Mainland of Norway.
